This route going over the Continental Divide can be impassable and/or hazardous until early July due to snow and avalanche conditions. For your personal safety and the protection of the wilderness resource, it is discouraged to attempt this route prior to these dates. Camp safely away from standing dead trees as close to the silver metal arrowhead as possible. Carry in/out hard sided bear-resistant food storage canister required. NO FIRES, Fires Prohibited, Use portable stoves only. Purify water. Leave No Trace. **Hiking through recent burn area - use extreme caution with standing dead trees.** Fire damage area - foot bridges and trails may be damaged, impassable, or missing.
